What a whirlwind those first few newborn weeks are, filled with excitement, exhaustion and a love like nothing you’ve felt before. It’s a milk drunk haze of skin to skin, wispy soft hair and tiny toes, where the the days blend into the nights.
Time passes so quickly. It won’t be long before you forget how small they looked in your arms, their little fluffy ears, tiny nails and sleepy pouts.
My newborn sessions are designed to feel like an opportunity to pause in the midst of this beautiful chaos. A chance to take time for yourself, to get dressed to feel good, and to be fully present and relish in the connection, in the moment, whilst creating memories to cherish.
So soak in this precious time as you get to know each other either at your home or my cosy in-home studio in West Sussex for an intimate session, just your family and your baby. There are no expectations, it’s a slow, gentle, baby led session with lots of time built in for feeds, changes and cuddles.

Why newborn photos are important
After becoming a mother and experiencing the depths and breadths of this new love, how I would go to the ends of the earth for this new little soul that I’d just met. How I used to be a part of the world and now I was someone’s whole world.
It absolutely broke my heart that my own story did not start like this. I have no photos from when I was born. And only a handful of photos from before I turned one. It feels like a little piece of my history is missing. You can read more about my story on my About page. Of course that all changed after I was adopted, and these little glimpses back into my past, seeing how loved I was (and still am) are some of my most sentimental and valuable possessions.
So it is my mission to capture these for you, to seal these fleeting moments of love, connection and growth into your history, to provide something tangible to your story to enjoy for generations to come.
